San Diego has a tremendous independent and local music scene that is loaded with talented artists. Every genre and sub-genre is well represented here! However, we have chosen to concentrate primarily on the Punk and Metal side of it all. Just a personal preference. Therefore, below you’ll find a list of small intimate venues that have support our local and host touring punk and metal artists. We should note, that these venues have been known to host other music genres and non-musical events as well. Be aware that a few of these venues, some not all, of these venues are more about the music than decorations, comfortable seating and all that frilly shit. While others boast a menu of finely crafted cocktails, food and some rather eclectic decors.

Also, don’t forget to check out our list of breweries that support our local music scene. HERE.
